Our Artistic Staff
Deirdre McClure (DMA, Peabody) comes to Sea Change Chorale with a deep love of vocal music from the operatic and choral traditions. She is currently Director of Odeon Orchestras at Bay Chamber Concerts in Rockport, Maine, and is on the faculty of the University of New England, and leads the Oakland (California) Opera Theater, an innovative and highly acclaimed small opera company commissioning and presenting works by mainstream and emerging composers. Past work includes the Oakland Community Orchestra, the Women’s Orchestra of San Francisco, the University of California Youth Music Program, as well as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Contemporary Music Ensemble, Club Foot Orchestra. McClure received both her Masters and Doctoral degrees in orchestral conducting from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She resides with her family in Portland, Maine.
Accompanist DAVID BARTOLETTI is currently pianist and organist at the Foreside Community Church in Falmouth, and held previous posts at the St. Gregory Church and the First Parish Unitarian Church in Portland. Originally from Pittsburgh, he studied philosophy at the University of Dayton in Ohio while being the resident organist at the city’s cathedral. Dave has a deep love of music, is an accomplished improviser and songwriter, and gifted accompanist. He holds a BA in Philosophy from University of Dayton, and studied with pianist Ani Antanacos at University of Southern Maine. In addition to his work in music, Dave also has a deep love of the outdoors, and leads hikes and works to improve trails in the heart of Maine’s woods. For the Maine Conservation Corps, he led a team constructing and maintaining hiking trails and bridges throughout the state of Maine.
